I can not find the right words to thank you for your compassion, prayers and thoughtful comments.
I did not intend to invoke this kind of response, but I am truly overwhelmed by your comments, my emotions were just so raw yesterday.
Life events (good and bad) will happen ... that is just the way life is.. but sometimes the changes that are presented really stop you in your tracks and turn your world upside down. It slaps you in the face and makes you re-think everything.. and it doesn't have to be a dx of cancer to get that kind of attention...
Most of you are much younger than I .. but upon turning 40.. I thought "Geez, life is just too perfect and that I am truly blessed to be on this path!".
This is going to sound very bizzare, but our true blessings came with the dx in 2006, because it made us realize that what we thought was important in life... really wasn't. Stuff is stuff, things are things, but the love of family and friends in a time of need is the real blessing.
So be well my friends... we are fighters... they told us 3-5 yrs at dx, and we have beaten those odds, we will beat the next set that is put in front of us..and we need to remember to Live in the Moment..
