Whew!!
I think I am about to re-enter the band blog world just a bit more.
And it feels good to do so..
Things are not perfect with DH.. but they are moving in the right direction.
So, it gives me a sense that I can actually start to spread my wings and write a post now and then.
So about the band...
I have given great thought about my where I am..
And to refresh your memory.. I have a 11cc Realize band, with 9.5 cc of fill.
And I know for fact that I am totally in my green zone, the sweet spot, I am there.
I know there are alot of comments, questions about how you know..
I have had a few false alarms thinking I was there after prior fills, but honestly this is different.
First I can not say I view it or feel it as restriction.
If you can recall what it felt like the first few days after your surgery that would be a very good comparison.
I never (and I mean this) I never feel hungry.
I felt the same way after surgery for the first few days.
I now have to consciously think.. I need to get something into my body.
I generally have a protein drink, some chili or a piece of chicken or cheese as my food source.
I prefer hot liquids to cold drinks but can drink both.
I do not focus on calories but on protein grams..
One other thought... it really took me a long time to get to this point (13 months to be exact).
Whereas before this last fill, I felt that losing weight took effort (and I am a slow loser).. and now I have been consistently losing 1 to 2 pounds over the last 6 weeks or so..
Yes, I have had a sh*t storm going on in my life.. but still the concept of the band is still in tact..
It still is a matter of calories in and calories out.. no matter what is going on in your life.
So perhaps this will add some perspective for newer bandsters.. or not.. but its my story and I am sticking to it..
Be well and thank you again for all of your kind words.. hugs to all

ReplyDelete^^^ Above comment is from me, but was signed in as someone else. Sorry about that!
ReplyDeleteI hope things continue going in the right direction for your family. And it is reassuring for some of us that it took you 13 months to find your sweet spot. I am so impatient! I know it will come, but currently I work every hard for every ounce, and that is not a bad thing, I guess, but sometimes it is frustrating! Best of luck to you!
