Just Knowing...

Just knowing you are there and thinking about us... brings incredible comfort to my heart.
There are no words that can capture the immense love I feel from all of you.
Your kindness
Your warmth
Your caring
Your arms that have reached out to hug me and my girls.

My heart aches beyond measure, yet you are all there to let me know it will be OK over time.
Your words, your sentiments where at times too much to read.
My girls and I huddled around the computer into the late hours to read your words.
We cried
and cried
and then cried some more..
We felt the tears from heaven.
Too much emotion to take in, to process
Too much emotion to release in one breath.

It is all still too fresh in my heart.
The moments of selection to get Mark ready for his next journey have shaken me to the core..

The snow confounds the plans
My sweet Mark is still waiting to be put to his final rest.
That won't happen until Wednesday.
The pain is too much to bare.
I sit here now and wait..
Wait for time to pass
Wait for roads to be cleared
Wait for people to arrive
Wait to put my sweet love to rest...

Your flowers were beautiful.. and sit proudly in view
Soft music, his favorites,  play in the background.
My girls have created an unbelievable tribute to him that I will post next week.

So .. thank you my dearest friends..
Just knowing you from near and a far is comforting..

Tonight...
Hug your babies
Kiss your loved ones

Thank your God

Life is precious and way way too short.

Be well my good friends.. you have touched my heart beyond all comprehension
I love you..

  2. I feel so helpless. I wish I could give you more than words. I am so sorry on top of everything the weather is not cooperating. I am hoping that the people you are waiting to arrive will give you the hugs and love that we can't give you in person.

  9. Barb I wanted to say something but I never know what to say in times like this. I feel like nothing I say could make you feel better. I can't even imagine the pain you're feeling. Reading about what happened made me hold my husband a little tighter. You have an amazing community of women on here. I have never seen such an outpouring. You are very loved :) My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I look forward to seeing the tribute your girls made.

  11. I'm thinking about you and your family in this difficult time-- there really are no words other than to say that please come on an post anytime and ask for love and support. I know it's not the same as an in person hug, but the love is there for you and I am wishing your family peace and that you get through this most difficult time of grief as well as you can...
