My New Passion

I have a new Passion (well not new), but I did this last summer and have gone back to it again this season.

What is it..
Lemon Slices in Water.. sounds simple.. but did you know that ...

Lemon slices added to a glass of water adds a dash of flavor and extra refreshment to your drink. This can encourage you to drink more water, but it also has other health benefits.

Toxins
Lemon juices help to remove toxins from your system. That will have a positive impact on your overall health.
Digestion
Lemon can be used to eliminate heartburn and indigestion. Regular use of lemon juice promotes bowel function to eliminate constipation. It is also known to alleviate nausea and hiccups.
Antiseptic
Lemons are naturally antiseptic so regular consumption in water can kill bacteria and prevent illness. It is also said to prevent malaria.
Vitamin C
Lemons are high in vitamin C which will assist in healing wounds and relieving allergies. Is it also helpful for sore throats and asthma.
Urinary Health
Lemon is a natural diuretic which helps to flush bacteria from the kidneys and bladder. This can oftentimes eliminate urinary infections

So if you are up to it.. give it a try.. no calories, refreshing and a few health benefits to boot!!
Sorry for not posting too much, my life has been crazy AND I am still recovering from last weekend.
That Sandy is a party animal!!

hugs

  3. You know what else it's good for? Swelling. All of the plastic surgery message boards say to drink LEMON water by the gallons - something in lemon helps minimize the swelling. Love you biscuit!

  5. You know what else is good? Sounds a little weird, but cucumber. Probably doesn't have all those health benefits, but it's refreshing.
