Gee it's great to be back home.. the dogs greet you like you have been away for 100 years, the DH sighs in relief because he knows that he is being relieved of duties, and then there is your own bed..
And one more day and it's off for vaca for two weeks.. yahoo.. I need this one!..
I am going to eat sensibly, but I am not going to focus on WL or anything other than R&R.
I will probably try my vlogging talents again while down in sunny FLA. Have a great weekend everyone.. be well
So now it's on to Drazil's BYOC...
1. What’s your favorite smell?
I would have to say flora, specifically lilac... and the lilcas are just about in bloom in my area. I stick my nose in the blossoms and just take in that scent.. I love it.. and always grab a lilac scent candle to keep that fragerance all year round.
2. What is your all-time favorite movie and why?
I have to say National Lampoon's Christmas vacation. I know it is lame, but I can watch that over and over again, repeat the lines and still laugh.. maybe it's just a bit too close to reality.
3. What’s your trigger food?
Chocolate
4. When someone you love is going through a difficult time – what are your go-to words to make them feel better – in just a sentence or two?
I am here for you.. just lean on me.. Again, this question is a bit too close to real life.. as my DH is a cancer warrior..
Great answers. #4, I hope he is doing well, that is so scarey.
ReplyDeleteHey girl...welcome home.
ReplyDeleteTwo week vacation...God I'm jealous. Monday morning I need to get my sore ass back to work.
Have a great trip...we'll miss you.
Hope DH is well.
KICK THAT CANCER IN THE ASS BABY!
ReplyDeleteYou are both warriors! Have a great vacay!
WOW - I totally forgot about Cmas Vacation. I start watching that in October and don't stop until January! LOVE that movie. I think my cousin's little boy may have cancer...it's heart breaking and I feel so helpless....please keep him in your prayers.
ReplyDeleteChocolate and Christmas Vacation. We're soul mates. I love the part where the cat gets fried under the chair-I watch it every year, laugh at every part and can almost repeat every line too.
ReplyDeleteI love that movie too...
ReplyDeleteGreat answers!
Vlog! Vlog! Vlog!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're home safely. Hope your vacation is fantabulous.
Great BYOC answers. #4 is a difficult one, and gives you insight into a whole new world. It's not hard to see that in you.
Yay for your husband. Hope you survived the week and have a fab vacation
ReplyDeleteHi Darl,
ReplyDeleteSo sorry I haven't been around. Works keeping me out of the loop (sigh!!)... but was so stoked to have a message from you. xxx I love your answers to the questions. Have a good week, angleface xx
Hey Barbara, glad you're on vacation. I hope it's relaxing and fun for you. Re your question, I do think the restriction has loosened up. I really couldn't even eat refried beans in the first couple weeks after that last fill of mine. But I've also stepped up my vigilance: No chicken at all (I think I had three minuscule bites of dark meat a couple weeks ago but was too scared to go any further). No meat except for deli turkey, and even that doesn't always go down well. Lots of blended black bean soup, lots of mashed avocados, cheese, blended chili, iced tea, steamed artichokes, olives, brie. And almost always a shake in the morning.
ReplyDeleteSo it's a combination of being careful and being able to eat a bit more. Fish has gone down just fine, so when we plan to go out I try to go somewhere I know I can get either soup or fish.
Maybe you need just a tiny tweak, like 0.1 or something? let me know what you decide, and enjoy your break!
