Upside... Downside

Well, I thought I would bounce back alot quicker than planned.

I am quite bruised, um.. a little scary.. to the point that I will not post a picture of my current state. I don't think I have enough concealor for this go round. I am still wearing the head wrap.  It truly helps with the healing and reconnecting the neck tissue.

Now that I have a bit more awareness, I have to tell you I really did not feel a thing during the procedure.  I know I was awake because I was singing and the OR staff said they never had a singing patient before.  I don't quite know if the procedure was 20 minutes or 2 hours.. I had no concept of time but I am guessing about 3 hours including recovery time.

I am taking an oral antibiotic and a topical ointment.  All preventative.
I am off the pain meds and am damn glad I am.. honestly, they kicked my ass.

The upside (if you want to consider it an upside) is that my appetite has been zero.
Just fluids since thursday, which has resulted in a nice drop on the scale.
An unconventional way to lose 6 lbs.. but I will take it.

Tomorrow I go to have sutures removed from my eyes, I have no idea what happened to the sutures under my chin, but they are gone. I must have pulled them out when I washed my face. Oh well.

Easter was very low key.
K took me out on his boat, and we went up and down the Delaware.
I had a hoodie on with a big floppy hat and some sun glasses.

It was good to get fresh air.

That's about it for now. It has been incredibly windy here.. strange weather. But then again, that seems to be going on everywhere!!

  7. For me the lipo was what caused the pain and the brusing the most. I'm glad you are coming along and off the meds, but take it easy ok? Bug hugs!
