Quickie

Just a quick (yes I am alive) update..
Well I am surviving my meeting (but it is costing me a small fortune).

I have really developed an expensive coping mechanism:
Here is a quick summary:
  • Arrived Monday morning - checked out the hotel spa
  • Got a mani pedi
  • Got a massage
  • Tempted to do the exfoliation and spray tan (but held off) there is still time
  • Got a new (much shorter do)
  • Went to Saks - got new makeup
  • Bought a new handbag (Allison you will love it B. Makowsky)
  • Yes the sickness continues I bought another pair of shoes
  • All to cope with the week of colleagues
Here was the comment I got Tuesday morning.. We didn't see you at the gym this morning.
No A hole, you didn't and you won't..  I exercised in my hotel room.

Oh well.. It's only Wednesday.. I have no idea how I am doing on WL.
But if I reach onderland I won't know it till I get home and I am so damn close.

Have a great day...

  1. But those are all good non-food treats and you would have bought them at home eventually. I got the haircut and new makeup last Friday and two new purses yesterday (from my DH). Think of them as rewards for a job well done (putting up with the work crew). If they ask again about not being at the gym just tell them you decided to go run the 10k outside since it was nice! Watch them gape. Have fun for the rest of your adventure and happy eating.

  2. GOOD FOR YOU! I know it's expensive, but sometimes you gotta bite the bullet and go for it. Sounds like a great way to get through a tough week. And good job exercising in your hotel room. Today's hump day... almost in the home stretch. Keep up the good work, and keep your eyes on the prize!xoxo

  6. No a-hole - ha! That made me laugh. You hang in there and if new clothes help you survive - so be it - take one for the team....that's dedication I tell ya.

    Smooches.

  7. I just told my hubby I am so getting a spray tan this summer. You have to get one and tell me how it goes. I keep having flashbacks of the Friends episode when Ross gets that terrible tan, but I might just risk it. My husband is super dark and my daughters are medium. I'm the token albino. Keep up the good work of stress shopping instead of stress eating. Much better.
